Exercise: Ellipses
You will be drawing the different pitches of ellipses as they get closer to and farther away from your line of sight (center of vision) and your eye level (horizon line).

Then print out the following document for Exercises 6 and 7.

Exercise 6: Draw in the missing ellipses with their appropriate pitches above and below your eye level (horizon line). Do NOT draw vertical lines to connect the ellipses to each other—only draw in the missing ellipses.

Exercise 7: Draw the missing ellipses with their appropriate pitches on each side of your line of sight. Do NOT draw horizontal lines to connect the ellipses to each other—only draw in the missing ellipses.

Exercise 8: Draw one page of at least 12 ellipses with varying widths of major and minor axes. Make certain to draw the major and minor axes before drawing the ellipses!
Size: 8"x10" and 9"x12". Remember, 96dpi .jpeg.

Post completed drawings by Monday at 11:59 PM: Scan in and submit your drawings to the discussion board.
Provide feedback by Tuesday at 11:59 PM: Provide feedback to other members of the class. I will be providing feedback, but I’d like you to offer feedback also. In your feedback answer the following questions:
1. Are the drawings in proportion?
2. Are the pitches correct?
3. Do the ellipses look like footballs or hotdogs?
4. Are all four quandrants of the ellipses equal?
