Assignments
Assignment 1: Creating a composition using charcoal and friskit paper.
Assignment 2: Identifying design principles and elements in student compositions.
Assignment 3: From your imagination, draw 8–10 thumbnail compositions using the principles of design listed below. Use only the flat geometric shapes: circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles. Scan your drawings and submit.
Assignment 4: Add value to your thumbnail compositions using pen, marker, graphite or charcoal and then submit.
Assignment 5: Select one of your thumbnail compositions and do a 9"x12" finished drawing using the pastel/friskit method.
