Assignment: Graphite Drawing
Specifications
Subject matter: Choose one of the thumbnails from your “Assignment Steps 1 and 2: Graphite Composition and Thumbnails” as your subject.

Assignment 4: Select one of your thumbnails. In graphite, draw a 9"x12" line drawing of the composition then submit your drawing. (15 points)

Assignment 5: Add values and texture to your line drawing to create a finished, fully shaded 9"x12" drawing. NOTE: A common mistake students make is to not get enough value range, particularly in the darks—a good composition generally has a “white” and a “black” with all the values in between. (15 points)

Post completed drawing by Monday 11:59 PM: Scan in and submit your completed drawings to the discussion board. I will provide feedback and a grade for each of your drawings. We will be using your drawings as examples for future ART 110 classes.
