Art 235 | Using HTML Tags in Blogs Transcript

These are some HTML tags that you can use in your blog posts. The first one I am talking about is p class equals "intro", and then you type there and then the open bracket, slash, p and close bracket. <p class="intro">You type here</p>. This is the introduction paragraph, and this is what the introduction paragraph will look like. The introduction paragraph is the first piece of your content that should introduce what you’re planning out saying through your blog post. This is what it looks like when you’re editing it. You edit it in HTML mode. Notice that there is circle there on the right. So there is <p class="intro">You type here</p>. So that’s how you get the opening paragraph.

The next one that I am going to talk about is how to make something bold, and "strong" is the tag for this. So there is <strong>Type here</strong>. So this is what it will look like. If you want that text bold like it is there. This is how it looks in HTML code, so there is strong and then what you want to say and then close strong. Now when you’re working on this, if you select the text and then click the "b" button, the circle there, it will automatically put the tags on there for you, so you don’t need to type this in. That’s automatic for you.

The next one is block quote. And this is what the block quote looks like. This should be a piece of information that will engage your readers and help them to understand what you’re trying to write about. And it is blockquote one word, open and then slash blockquote close. Now this is what it looks like in the editing window, in HTML once again, you see that there is HTML and visual together. Use the HTML mode, not the visual mode. Just like the bold, there is actually a "b-quote" button, so select the text that you want to be in block quote and then click on the b-quote button. So there are a few HTML Tags that you can use in your Blog Posts.
