Art 235 | Creating a Basic Blog Post

This tutorial covers how to make a blog post for the process blog. To do this, up here in the top, you can choose "New" -> "Post". Put in a title, write an introductory statement, which should be a preview of what you plan to say and tag it with its class. To open the tags, you put in <p class="intro">Put in the introductory paragraph, and then close with </p>

The next thing you want to do is place an image in the tags. You place an image by going to "Insert" -> "Select Files" and choose the file you need. When you're doing the page, it will show the page name here. When you're doing an image, you should put in the caption. Don't mess with the "Link URL". You want the Alignment to be "Left". Because it's a single page, put it at medium size (350 x 262). Then click on "Use as featured image", only on one imaging you post, this will show on the main class blog, and then click "Insert into post". It will put the content that you need here.

Then put in the main body. You don't need any tags for this. Write in several short paragraphs versus one long paragraph. And then put in the concluding statement. We're going make this a subhead. The subhead we're going to use is h2. Put in <h2>the conlusion here</h2>

One thing that we have left is that we need to put in a blog quote in here. The blog quote is intended to get interest. It's required that you put in a blog quote. I am going to put in blog quote at this point in the content. Start off typing a blog quote, select the blog quote you type in and then up in the top, choose "b-quote", and now the blog quote is in there.

After that, make sure that you put the blog post in the right category. On the right, select "Project" category and "Team" category. Click "Publish" and "View post". The post shows a title. It will show your name and date, the categories that you're in, the introduction, your body copy, your caption, your blog quote, subhead and the concluding statement. That is all you need to do to create a basic blog post.
