Project 4 Step 2 Part 3

We’re going to take this web page document, and link it to our workbook. The page will be split in half in our workbook to show all of it; from the header to the footer. I’ll save this document as the workbook: ‘File’ > ‘Save As’ then save as “Workbook.” The InDesign document has a link applied to it. In the ’Links’ tab in the window to the right, we’ll replace the links by selecting both of them. Then, we’ll click the small button in the upper-right corner of that window. And then click ‘Relink’ from that list. Then, we’ll browse and find the web template we created and say ‘Open.’ Click ‘OK.’ Then, select the same file again, click ‘Open’ again and ‘OK’ again.

If you do this correctly, I’ve set up the page so that any changes you make to the web template will be updated and reflected in the workbook.
